Common Questions
How do I add the widget to my lock screen?
Lock your iPhone, then long-press the lock screen to enter customization mode. Tap Customize, then tap the widget area below the clock. Tap the + button, find LockLearn in the list, and add it. Once placed, the widget will start rotating through your vocabulary automatically.
How often does the widget change words?
LockLearn rotates to a new word approximately every 10 minutes. The widget batches a set of upcoming words and hands the schedule to iOS, which delivers each update in the background. Under heavy system load, iOS may occasionally delay an update — this is a platform-level behavior outside of the app's control.
Is my vocabulary data private?
Yes. All vocabulary data is stored entirely on your device using iOS App Groups shared storage. LockLearn does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.
How many words can I add for free?
LockLearn is free to use with up to 20 vocabulary words across any number of topics — no trial period, no expiration. The free version is a complete experience for most users.
What does the one-time purchase unlock?
Power users who want to go beyond 20 words can unlock unlimited vocabulary with a single one-time purchase. There is no subscription — you pay once and the full app is yours forever.
I paid for the unlock but it's not showing on a new device. How do I restore it?
Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID. To restore it, open LockLearn, go to the vocabulary manager, and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
